Peace Ecology is the combination of peace and environment studies, providing the space for the integration of the two fields of study. The discipline is a new paradigm of peacebuilding, combining peace and nonviolence with the tenets of ecology and the principles of environmentalism. It explores the long- term benefits of an environmental consciousness balanced with senses of peace.
